The Finance and Personnel Committee confirmed four reappointments during the May 6 session.
Molly King (city benefits director) asked to continue on the Deferred Compensation Plan Board; she summarized her work since 2018 and the plan's growth. "I respectfully ask for the opportunity to continue serving on this deferred compensation board to better our employees and our retirees," King said. The committee confirmed her, and the chair thanked her for continued service.
Jerry Allen, a recent retiree with almost two decades of executive experience in pension administration, described his interest in continuing to harmonize city and member interests; the committee confirmed his appointment. Deborah Ford, a former labor negotiator who has served on the board since 2016 and now as a beneficiary, expressed her commitment to overseeing contractual promises; she was confirmed. Steve Mahan, a long-serving participant on the deferred compensation board (over 22 years), described the plan's growth and said he wanted to continue stewardship; he was confirmed as well. All confirmations proceeded without recorded objections in committee.
