Chair introduced the bollard project as a high-priority item from the recently approved DDA development plan and said it is intended to support placemaking, events and public safety. The board clarified that the Wade Trim contract covers feasibility, design and engineering only; construction and installation contracts will be brought back to the board for separate approval.
Miss Thompson told the board the contract will allow staff to identify suitable locations; it does not authorize installation. The resolution passed by voice vote.
Next steps: staff will return construction-related contracts and any site-specific installation proposals to the DDA board for review and approval.
