Trustees approve several public-works contracts and move to closed session on historic-site and waste negotiations

- Award of the Dardis Avenue storm sewer and street reconstruction project (project #41267) to Stark Pavement for $544,567.30; scope includes full road reconstruction, storm sewer installation, base course and sidewalk and driveway approach replacement.
- Award of demolition contracts for Fire Station 2 and Station 4 (project numbers 22037 and 20023) to H.M. Brandt LLC for $97,081; trustees said environmental assessments and remediation were performed and that the Fire Station 2 site will become additional parking for Willowwood Park.
After the contract votes, Trustee Hayes moved to convene into closed session under Wisconsin Statute 19.85(1)(e) to discuss negotiations with the Menomonee Falls Historical Society about a potential lease for Old Falls Village and separate negotiations with Waste Management of Wisconsin regarding curbside refuse and recycling collection; the board voted unanimously to enter closed session.
All contract awards reported in the meeting passed on voice votes with unanimous support. Implementation and next steps for each contract will be managed by the relevant public works and utilities departments.
