Davie council picks finalists for painted‑horse and utility‑box art; staff to finalize artist agreements

After point‑by‑point review the council indicated support for several designs and directed staff to execute artist agreements for the preferred artists and to have the public art committee make location recommendations for council approval.
On utility‑box wraps, staff said the Round‑2 open call generated about 300 submissions with 245 meeting minimum requirements; council reviewed the top designs and authorized staff to work with the vinyl‑wrap vendor and artists to finalize which boxes and locations will receive wraps.
Pullman said the next steps are negotiating artist agreements, having the committee recommend placements and returning to council for final approval of specific locations and installation schedules.
