Rancho Cordova Planning Commission directs staff to prepare report on FCUSD plan for 3215 Prospect Park Drive

Dufa also cited the notice requirement under Government Code section 65402 and referenced the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidance the city is relying on, stating the matter is exempt pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3).
The clerk reported the commission received one public comment by email from James Garcia; the email was distributed to commissioners and included in the meeting materials. No speaker from the public took the podium.
Commissioners who commented expressed support. Commissioner Deborah Polley said she had previously worked in the building when it was occupied by EDS, calling it “a nice building.” Another commissioner said, “I think it's a great use. I think we need another high school,” and commissioners encouraged staff to proceed.
The commission approved a motion directing staff to prepare the consistency report to FCUSD. The motion passed on a roll-call vote recorded as yes from Commissioner Deborah Polley, Commissioner Frechette, Commissioner Raymond, Commissioner Stoss, Vice Chair Stevenson and Chair Molden (6-0).
