Supervisor McGowan moved to approve the appointment and compensation; the board approved the resolution by roll call. The resolution adopts the salary and the attached benefits and terms specified in the county personnel rules and records the effective date as 2026‑06‑01.
Why it matters: the CAO will be the county’s chief operating officer, responsible for implementing board policy, coordinating departments and supporting the budget process. Board members encouraged Pargey to begin familiarizing himself with county budgets and operations prior to the June 23 preliminary budget special meeting.
