The Plumas County Community Corrections Partnership voted March 18 to approve an RFP application template and a proposed advertising timeline for CCP funding applications.
The chair presented the proposed timeline: post the application on county websites March 19 (or 26 depending on newspaper lead time), publish a newspaper advertisement March 26, set an application deadline of April 10 at close of business, open applications April 13 and review them at the CCP meeting April 15. The chair said the timeline was somewhat compressed compared with previous years in order to complete budget work earlier in the spring.
Committee members raised concerns about recipient capacity and a scheduling overlap: quarter‑three reporting for current recipients is due April 15, the same date the packet would expect CCP reviewers to consider applications. One member suggested an Option B to extend the advertisement and acceptance window into May (deadline May 8, opening May 11, review May 20) to avoid that overlap and give applicants more time.
A motion to approve the attached RFP application template and the proposed timeline was moved and seconded and passed on a voice vote. The chair said staff would attempt to get the Mountain Messenger advertisement placed as soon as possible.
The committee noted that approving the template does not replace the separate, later step of approving funded requests; approving the timeline and template only sets the application and review process in motion.
