Tammie Colon presented the OneOhio grant report to the Board of Allen County Commissioners on April 14, thanking the board for funding and summarizing two projects funded through OneOhio Region 15 and partner contributions.
Colon described (1) a Lighthouse Recovery Peer Center activities therapist position that is funded through a reconcilable arrangement involving the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board and regional, county and city OneOhio funds, and (2) a Juvenile Substance Abuse Intervention Specialist position funded through OneOhio funds. Colon said the Mental Health and Recovery Services Board is seeking other funding streams to continue the juvenile specialist if regional funding is not renewed. She also said there is interest in extending the recovery center’s hours to evenings and holidays if ongoing funding permits.
The board received the report; colon noted that continued funding from OneOhio is pending regional review and that contingency planning is underway should future funding not be available.
