What passed: The commission approved an application for an off-premises retail beer and retail table-wine alcohol license for North Jet at 8640 Highway 231 North in Arab; adopted the new purchasing-card policy and travel-policy modifications; reappointed Joanne (Jo Ann) Hutton to the Mountain Lakes Behavioral Health Board; appointed Brandon Evans to the Marshall Jackson 310 Agency and extended the application period to fill two remaining slots; and approved a Coosa Valley Youth Services Board appointment (John Young). The commission also approved a pest-control contract with Sand Mountain Pest for the Marshall Road revenue office ($90/month service; $285/year termite coverage), approved a variance and plat for Crowder’s Maples Drive Subdivision (smallest lot 14,374.8 sq ft) and approved the Concord Road minor subdivision (developer Santiago Hernandez). The commission voted to sign a participation agreement to be eligible for future opioid-settlement funds; amounts and allocations remain unknown.

On the travel-policy modification vote, the roll call recorded two "yes" votes and one "no" (Commissioner Watson and Commissioner Byker recorded as "yes," Commissioner Sims recorded as "no").
