Local volunteers present disaster‑preparedness training program and request partnership

Sullivan Deli said CVDPN is entirely volunteer run, offers personal‑preparedness training in English and Spanish at no cost, and has trained roughly 1,700 residents in the last two months through outreach at community sites. The group provides "ready to go" preparedness bags and offers Stop the Bleed training and other classes intended to help neighbors sustain themselves during the first days after a disaster.
She asked the council to list CVDPN on the city website and consider sponsoring or hosting trainings in Indian Wells. Council members thanked the group and encouraged follow‑up with staff to identify partnership opportunities.
