Council welcomes new Riverside County fire chief and Indian Wells division chief

Chief Fish described his decades of service in the Coachella Valley, noted his career beginnings in the Cove communities, and pledged continued collaboration with city leaders and staff to maintain and improve public‑safety services. Cody Wright introduced himself as the city’s new division chief and said he looks forward to advancing local emergency medical services and operational readiness.
Council members thanked the fire leaders for past collaborations, noted improvements in ISO ratings and opticom traffic preemption systems, and praised quick response times. The introductions concluded with brief council appreciation and no formal action was required.
