Commission signs DeWitt Road vacation order and opens library board application window

At the May 7 meeting the Christian County Commission approved the final order completing the vacation of DeWitt (Cave) Road. The chair said county counsel drafted the order and commissioners voted to approve the order; the group will sign the document after the meeting to complete the transaction.
Commissioners also moved communications up the agenda to discuss two library board openings. They agreed to open applications at 9 a.m. on May 18 and close them at 4:30 p.m. on May 20, and to schedule interviews in June. Staff will update the county website and notify the library board of the calendar.
No additional formal action was taken; commissioners recessed for the 10 a.m. zoning hearing as scheduled.
