The March 31 meeting opened with a roll call and a series of recognitions for winter athletics: wrestling, Nordic skiing and swimming teams were introduced and several student athletes described their experiences and accomplishments.
Board members and staff also reported on community events: an author event hosted by the Minnesota Humanities Center, an upcoming American Indian Education Powwow on April 11, the Black Girl Magic Week programs, district curriculum advisory committee meetings and family engagement nights at individual schools. Board members singled out Brim Hall and other community schools for strong family engagement and student leadership programming.
