The grant application proposes a $400,000 award; the program requires a 50% local match. Hibbs said the city already has $202,000 in impact fees available to contribute and would budget the remaining $198,000 during the 2027 budget process; the total project estimate including a 15% contingency is $800,000.
Council moved and approved Resolution 1874 by voice vote to authorize the mayor to execute the grant application. Committee members had conditioned full committee approval on confirmation of the match requirement, which Hibbs provided during the meeting.
The council did not modify the application scope; staff will proceed with the application and report back on award status if successful.
