Clarkston DUP chapter to be honored at ISDUP level; local hayride set for May 13

Jeaniel Sauer, captain of the Clarkston Daughters of Utah Pioneers chapter, read part of a letter from the Utah Legislature recognizing the International Society Daughters of Utah Pioneers and said the Clarkston chapter has been active for 105 years.
Sauer played a short clip of an ISDUP commemorative video showing the Clarkston DUP Museum and credited local members for moving and preserving the granary. She said the local chapter will be recognized at the International Society level during its birthday celebration and announced that the chapter will host hayrides on May 13 at 11:00 a.m., during which participants will be shown sites associated with early town settlers and family histories. Sauer noted she will step down as captain in June and that Launi Petersen will take over the role.
