Capital outlay report: replacement and renovation projects remain on schedule

Mr. Morse presented the monthly capital outlay report and provided project-by-project status updates. He said the Cherokee High School replacement project is on schedule and within budget; gym wood flooring has been installed and interior finishes (casework and specialty items) continue. Creekview High School renovations received certificates of occupancy for hall renovations and the auxiliary gym and the Creekland/Creekland Middle School project is complete and will be removed from future reports.
For River Ridge High School's auxiliary project, Mr. Morse said installation of a TPO roofing system is progressing, interior finishes have begun, and the project is on schedule for substantial completion in April. Sequoia High School's athletic improvements, including structural steel for an auxiliary gym, are nearing completion and foundation work for a visitor's field house is underway. Teasley Middle School's driveway and bus lane improvements are complete and staff continue to refine traffic flow with the transportation director.
Woodstock High School's classroom addition is in its final phase: final inspections are scheduled for December, furniture installation will begin in late February and the project is on schedule for occupancy in August 2026. The capital team said projects are being drawn down against the building fund and SPLOST proceeds and that several projects will be removed from future reports once complete.
Board members asked about traffic changes at Teasley and Mr. Morse said the school and transportation team are adjusting logistics to improve traffic flow.
