Westminster board approves appointment of Dr. Kara Heinrich as assistant superintendent

Superintendent Hansen briefed the board on Dr. Heinrich's background, saying she comes to Westminster from Culver City Unified School District and has previously served as a principal at elementary, middle and high school levels and as a director of curriculum and instruction. "She has a depth of knowledge," the superintendent said, and the district said it looks forward to introducing her at the next meeting when the contract is brought forward.
The board characterized the hire as a result of a strong candidate pool and said the appointment fills a district leadership need ahead of the 2026–27 school year.
