Sharonville students present classroom reading project to Princeton Board of Education

Students from Sharonville Elementary School presented a class reading project to the Princeton Board of Education, demonstrating didactic wall panels they made after reading books about ocean life.
“Good evening, members of the Princeton Board of Education and guests. We are students from Sharonville Elementary School,” one student said at the start of the presentation, and classmates then took turns teaching brief lessons about giant squid and sharks. Principal Casey Jordan introduced the group and said she was proud of their work and the vocabulary and teaching skills they had practiced.
Students described the class’s central question — why people explore the sea — and explained how the panels were used at a recent literacy night to share learning with families. Presenters highlighted facts and research methods they had encountered, from giant-squid eyes to shark-derived medical materials.
Casey Jordan told the board the classroom work ties to the district’s emphasis on early reading and invited board members and families to view student work. The presentation concluded with applause and a brief acknowledgement from the board.
The board moved on to regular business after the student presentation.
