He recommended the Master Tech option because it was painted, in-stock and ready to ship; Schultz quoted an amount of $24,409 for that unit (the packet and the board discussion included a competing figure and a short exchange about a $23,079 line-item plus a $13.30 delivery fee). The board approved the purchase motion after discussion and a roll-call vote.
Commissioners said the purchases would be funded from budgeted road equipment funds and that the Sourcewell contract provided competitive pricing. No public comment was recorded on these agenda items.
The Highway Department will arrange delivery and installation of the truck box and will take possession of the bottom-dump trailer as described in the purchase documents.
