Council approves minutes, bills and ABC license; accepts donations and issues proclamations

The Helena City Council on April 13 unanimously approved routine business including the March 23, 2026 regular meeting minutes and payment of city bills.
Andy Healy moved to approve the March 23, 2026 minutes and Jeff McDaniels seconded; the motion passed with AYE votes from Councilmembers Cathy Hammann, Andy Healy, Dennis Wilson, Brooke Dodson and Jeff McDaniels. Healy also moved to approve bills and McDaniels seconded; that motion likewise passed unanimously.
The council accepted a donation of $3,498.92 from the Taste of Helena, presented by former councilmember Hal Woodman, to benefit Helena High School business students. Representative Leigh Hulsey presented $10,000 to the Police and Fire Departments to assist with renovating the former Indian Ford Fire District into a Public Safety Substation.
Council also approved an ABC license for SEESAW AND CRICKET LLC doing business as Helena Hollow (6027 Hwy 17) for a 160 special retail license after a motion by Dennis Wilson and second by Andy Healy; the motion passed unanimously.
Council presented proclamations recognizing April 2026 as Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month, Child Abuse Prevention Month and National Donate Life Month. The meeting adjourned at 6:43 PM.
