Iowa Senate opens with invocation, welcomes visiting parents and sets immediate party caucuses

A senator from the floor said Democrats would caucus, and Senator Clemensch, the senator from Wenatchee, told the chamber that Republicans would caucus in Room 22. The presiding officer put the Senate at ease so both parties could caucus right away; Senate staff confirmed the Democratic caucus location as Room 24 and the Republican caucus location as Room 22.
