The Town of Nolensville Historic Zoning Commission unanimously approved a revised certificate of appropriateness for 7287 Nolensville Road that replaces two previously approved transom windows with two portrait windows and identifies the exterior paint color to be submitted for administrative review.
During the staff presentation, a planning staff member summarized the request as a revision to a certificate previously approved at the commission’s Aug. 28, 2025 meeting. Staff recommended approval with the same conditions noted in the packet, including that exterior lighting be full cut-off and dark-sky compliant at 3,000 Kelvin or less, and that all final exterior paint color choices be submitted to town staff for administrative review and approval before painting takes place. “Staff recommends that the Historic Zoning Commission approve the secondary certificate of appropriateness with the previous conditions that were listed in your packet,” the staff member said.
The applicant, introduced by the chair as Mr. Molina, said the changes were limited to the window design and confirmed the paint selection. “We just wanna make some changes on the windows structures… Armanate granite. That’s the name of the paint,” Molina said, providing the paint name for the record.
A commissioner moved to approve the application with the conditions listed in the packet; the chair seconded. The commission voted by voice and the motion passed unanimously.
The approval preserves the packet’s prior conditions (lighting specifications, cantilever sign review and submittal of final paint colors). With the commission’s vote, the applicant may proceed with final filings consistent with those conditions and after any required administrative sign-offs. The meeting adjourned after the vote.
