At its April 16 meeting the Elk County Board of Commissioners approved several routine administrative items in a single series of motions.
The board accepted a $775 bid from Tristan Dennis for the county's 2017 Ford Escape after two bids were recorded (Chris Pistner $500, Tristan Dennis $775). Commissioners also approved the Public Defender Department's request to set court-appointed attorney billing rates at $110 per hour, effective May 1, 2026. The minutes record that the motion to adopt the new billing rate carried unanimously.
The board ratified a 60-month automatic renewal service agreement with Cintas for commercial floor mat and mop service at the Courthouse and Annex. The agreement includes a minimum notice of 90 days to terminate prior to expiration and unit pricing based on a selected item schedule; minimum charges apply.
Finally, the commissioners allocated $7,500 in Liquid Fuel funds split between Fox Township (2026 paving) and Benezette Township (Porcupine Rd. 2A topcoat). All motions in this segment were recorded as carried unanimously.
