Regional Office of Education updates committee on bomb-threat response, reunification planning and arts celebration

Becca also described work on a domestic-violence fatality review team involving local educators and said the ROE anticipates completing its first case study this week. She highlighted the Arts & Education spring celebration, which had "just over 4,000 students participate" last year and expects modest growth with new districts joining.
She emphasized the ROE's limited statutory authority: "We have no authority. We can't make anybody do anything," Becca said, adding that the office relies on relationships with districts to implement programs such as the Alternative Learning Opportunities program and expects more schools to join if K–3 regulatory changes proceed.
The committee thanked Becca for the update and had no formal action on the item.
