Public Works and Building & Grounds report culvert repairs, building progress and jail remodel completion

Public Works Director Mike Casper reported on May 4 that crews completed a culvert replacement in Pleasant Valley, performed shouldering near Pleasant Valley Hunting Preserve, and deployed graders while soils remain moist; he also noted a mastic crew working in the valley, coordination with UDOT on Tabiona Valley bridges, and a beaver-related failure of a culvert repair attempt on County Road 1 near Reed’s Ranch.
Building & Grounds Director Shane Jenkins reported the jail remodel is complete with kitchen equipment replaced and new carpet in places; the Crossroads Senior Center access doors have been replaced and two of six HVAC units are installed; windows are in place on the office side of the new public works building and siding installation was planned weather permitting. Jenkins also described dirt work for a generator at the admin building and entry door work.
Commissioners thanked staff for ongoing work. The minutes record progress updates but do not identify specific schedules for remaining tasks or associated project budgets.
