Sarah described a full sunrise service at Klamath Memorial starting at 6:00 a.m., a downtown parade beginning at 10:00 a.m., and a pavilion ceremony at Veterans Park at 11:00 a.m., followed by veterans organizations serving a free community meal beginning at noon.
The speakers emphasized the day’s role in remembering service members who died in U.S. conflicts and noted local veterans' gravesites in the Klamath Basin. "Please join us this Memorial Day in reflection at the Sunrise Service, Parade, and Ceremony," Sarah said.
The commissioners did not take formal action during the public comment period but staff and organizers exchanged contact information so the county can circulate details and provide information on any applicable permits or fee waivers.
