The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen met in regular session, approved a façade repair contract for Sea Hall and heard updates from multiple city departments.
During roll call the clerk recorded attendance. The board approved the consent agenda, including the minutes from the March 10 regular session. The board then considered Resolution 2026-22, described in the agenda as approval of Garland DBS Inc. Proposal 25-TN-260096 for Sea Hall façade sealant repairs to be completed by Escoda Waterproofing for $37,720. A motion to adopt the resolution was moved by Carrie Morton and seconded by Rachel Kirby. The clerk called the roll: Sally Brock, Richard Dunlap, Steve Harvey, Rachel Kirby, Carrie Morton, Carrie Youngblood and Mayor Mary Chastain recorded affirmative votes; the motion passed.
Following the vote the meeting moved to recognition of employees and departmental reports. Parks staff highlighted upcoming Park Theater programming and spring sports drafts and announced the hiring of grounds maintenance worker Brady Powers. Public works staff updated the board on progress at the water plant (foundation, scaffolding and electrical conduit work) and on TDOT street‑pole foundation work. City animal control has received state licensure and the officer Keith Boren is now authorized to purchase medications directly from a distributor, which staff said should save the city money. A staff member praised Steven Tisworth for improved coordination between departments. A board member also recognized a staff member named Ricky for his work; the transcript contains inconsistent surnames for Ricky.
With no further business, the board adjourned.
