The Isanti County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday approved a one‑time $11,464 payment to ProWest to create a data integration between the county’s geographic information system and a new Tyler Technologies tax system so public parcel details remain accessible.
County Administrator Amanda told commissioners the Auditor’s and Assessor’s offices recently went live on a combined Tyler platform and without the integration “all people would see is the parcel ID.” She said ProWest, the county’s GIS vendor, quoted "11,464 for ProWest ... to build that and set that up," a one‑time cost the compliance committee approved to be paid from compliance funds.
The board discussed the public access implications and departmental reliance on the GIS before approving the ProWest work on a voice vote.
Separately, the board authorized the county administrator to issue a request for proposals to fill the county surveyor appointment through Dec. 31, 2026, after KLJ notified the county that the county surveyor, Scott Marlin, left the firm and KLJ will terminate its contract effective May 30. Amanda said KLJ has agreed to complete plats already in process but will not provide an on‑site person moving forward.
Also on the consent agenda, the board approved the county’s routine claims and warrants, including an approximately $50,000 quarterly family‑leave payment to the State of Minnesota; Amanda said the amount "fits within what we were planning" and is based on a fixed payroll tax rate the county budgeted for.
The meeting included several other routine procurements: the board approved a quote for dust control on gravel roads and accepted a low bid for a Springville Park restroom apron (see related items). All actions were approved by voice vote with no roll‑call tallies recorded.
What’s next: staff will issue the surveyor RFP and return any proposals to the board later in the spring; the ProWest integration work will begin promptly if the vendor starts work as staff described.
