The North Logan City Council on April 8 voted to accept the highest bid ($12,500) for a city-owned parcel and separately approved a draft business incentive package for prospective businesses at approximately 2500 N Wolf Pack Way.
Alan Luce told the council several bids had been received for parcel 04-273-8002 (staff materials list the site at about 1551 E 2600N) and recommended accepting the best offer of $12,500. Emily Schmidt moved to accept the bid from Stephen Miner with the stipulation that the parcel not be used as a protected strip and that the purchase contract be approved by the city attorney; Kenny Reese seconded and the motion passed unanimously (Schmidt, Reese, Hancey). The council record shows the purchase contract will be finalized and approved by the city attorney prior to closing. (Transcript contains an apparent clerical inconsistency on the parcel identifier; staff will finalize the legal description for the real-estate contract.)
On a related item the council reviewed a draft business incentive package intended to attract prospective businesses to roughly 2500 N Wolf Pack Way. The council confirmed that negotiated incentives that differ materially from the approved draft would be returned to the council for approval. Kenny Reese moved to approve the draft package; Emily Schmidt seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Both items passed without amendment and will proceed to implementation steps required by city staff and the city attorney.
