At its March 10 special meeting the Jefferson County Board of Education voted to enter an executive session to discuss litigation and matters that may lead to litigation. President Ronnie Dixon recommended the session; Mr. Glenn Durough moved the motion and Mr. Walter Curry seconded. The roll call recorded Aye votes from Mr. Curry, Mr. Dixon, Mr. Durough and Ms. Floyd and the board recessed into executive session at 10:05 a.m.
The minutes note that a letter from the board attorney stated the board was in compliance with state law regarding the executive session. The meeting reconvened at 11:15 a.m.; a reconvening motion by Mr. Durough, seconded by Mr. Curry, was unanimously approved. With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 11:16 a.m.
