County clears consent agenda including gambling permit and solid-waste licenses

Isanti County commissioners approved the consent agenda, which included a late-added gambling permit and multiple licensing items.
Staff explained the gambling permit: a permit application from the Cambridge ISD & Cambridge Day Sandy Hockey Association to conduct bingo on two dates in May at Stone Lion Winery; staff noted Jeff (the gambling manager) was present for questions. "So we received a gambling permit from the Cambridge ISD and Cambridge Day Sandy Hockey Association, to conduct a bingo, on 2 different dates, both in May at Stone Lion Winery," staff said.
The board also approved Waste Management’s 2026 recycling facility license after staff confirmed all required information had been received. In addition, the board approved 2026 solid-waste collection and transportation licenses for multiple companies (listed by staff) after staff confirmed documentation and fees were in order; approvals were carried by roll-call votes.
All consent items passed unanimously. The chair signed required documents after the meeting as appropriate.
