Board approves cooperative agreement with Anoka Conservation District for Rum River shoreline work

The Isanti County Board approved a resolution authorizing a cooperative agreement with the Anoka Conservation District to complete shoreline restoration along the Rum River.
Amanda, presenting the item for absent staff, said the agreement covers design, construction and maintenance and that all project costs will be covered by the Anoka Conservation District through a Clean Water, Land and Legacy grant. "This includes design, construction, and maintenance, which all of those costs will be covered by the Anoka Conservation District, through the Clean Water, Land and Legacy grant," Amanda said.
Commissioner Berg moved adoption of the resolution and Commissioner Christiansen seconded; the board adopted the resolution in a unanimous roll-call vote. Staff noted Mallory Anderson will replace the late Al Cuts on the Rum River Watershed District board.
Next steps: the county will execute the cooperative agreement and Anoka Conservation District staff will proceed with project design and grant-backed construction and maintenance.
