Davis County approves UDOT cooperative agreement and Andersen Asphalt contract for West Davis Trail repairs

Kent Andersen, director of Community & Economic Development, told the commission the cooperative agreement with the Utah Department of Transportation will make Davis County responsible for maintaining the West Davis Highway Trail from Legacy Highway to Gentile Street and will include a reimbursement of $83,200 from UDOT for damage caused during Davis Corridor Highway construction.
Andersen also recommended a purchase order to Andersen Asphalt for $202,487 to perform asphalt improvements, crack sealing, and surface treatments to extend the trail's useful life. He said funding will be supported in part by a $250,000 Utah Outdoor Recreation grant and Fourth Quarter Prop One transportation dollars.
The commission voted to approve the cooperative agreement and the purchase order.
