Chair John Crofts opened the meeting at 10:00 a.m., and Health Director Brian Hatch led the Pledge of Allegiance. During the public-comment period Crofts invited comments; none were made.
Commissioners approved prior meeting minutes and a request from Clerk Brian McKenzie to cancel the regularly scheduled May 12 commission meeting because commissioners will be away on business. The board approved Amendment #7 to a pass-through agreement moving $65,684 to Davis Behavioral Health, and it appointed Douglas M. Monson to the Bountiful Irrigation District board for a term running through Dec. 31, 2029; both items were presented and recommended by county staff.
A block of consent items approved by the commission included sponsorship and event agreements for CommonSpirit Center Arena 2, the Antelope by Moonlight Bike Ride, Western Sports Park events, vendor and transportation agreements for the Great Salt Lake Bird Festival, and program agreements including SCRAM monitoring and a Lakeview Rifle & Pistol addendum.
The meeting recessed to the Board of Equalization, where Controller Scott Parke presented the Property Tax Register for April 21, 2026; the register was approved and the commission reconvened and adjourned at 10:24 a.m.
