Internal audit unveils SharePoint site to publish recommendations and resources

Leslie Tinoco, senior administrative assistant with internal audit, showed the committee a new SharePoint homepage designed to make audit recommendations and resources more accessible.
Tinoco said the site includes a tile that displays the status of audit recommendations since October 2023, listing audit numbers, titles, management responses, target implementation dates and implementation status. An "audit tips" tile will feature preventive and detective internal controls and a Q&A by role to help managers apply controls in areas such as contract compliance.
Another tile will archive Audit and Finance Committee PowerPoint presentations by calendar year, allowing members and the public to access past presentations. Tinoco said internal audit will update recommendation statuses monthly, no later than 5 p.m. on the last Thursday of each month.
