Strickland reelected chair; Mugen confirmed as vice chair of Seaside Homeless Commission

Chair Benjamin Strickland told the commission he was interested in continuing as chair but would withdraw if commissioners supported another nominee. Commissioner (speaker 5) nominated Strickland; the nomination was closed and the commission approved Strickland by voice vote. Strickland then nominated Vice Chair Leslie Mugen to continue in that role; the commission approved her by voice vote as well.
Strickland said he would support a different nominee if the commission preferred, but the vote showed unanimous support in the meeting room. The elections were handled by voice votes (ayes noted); the meeting record shows no roll-call tallies for the votes.
The commission moved from elections to the next agenda item after the appointments.
