Chair Barontis called for discussion about whether the Aug. 4 meeting should be held. Commissioners noted that the September meeting was already set to be skipped because of the Labor Day holiday and that National Night Out logistics put extra demands on staff. After discussion, a commissioner moved to not meet in August or September; another commissioner seconded the motion and the roll‑call vote recorded four yes votes, zero nos and one absence (Vice Chair Rodriguez), carrying the motion.
Earlier in the meeting the commission approved the minutes of the June 2, 2025 regular meeting. That motion likewise carried on a roll‑call tally of four yes, zero no and one absent.
No formal amendments or follow‑up tasks were recorded in the meeting packet; staff will post information about the Oct. 6 meeting on the city website in advance.
