Singleton said he had received outreach from residents who find the special‑exception process burdensome and noted that the county has approved similar requests in the past. "I would like to send a recommendation to the planning commission to remove the need for a special exception in the agricultural zone only," he said.

A motion to forward that recommendation to the planning commission was made, seconded and put to a roll‑call vote. The clerk recorded one commissioner voting 'no' and the remaining commissioners voting in favor; the motion passed and the commission will formally forward the recommendation for the planning commission's consideration.

The action is a recommendation only; any change to the county zoning code would require planning commission review and formal legislative action or public hearings as prescribed by county process.
