Williamston board approves two hires, purchases Chromebooks

On fiscal and governance items, the board approved the purchase of 184 Chromebooks and associated licenses, not to exceed $65,000, funded from the 2025–26 technology equipment budget. At the roll call for the technology purchase the board recorded unanimous approval: Chris, Amanda, Deborah, Heather, Nancy, Dave and Sarah voted yes. The board also approved minutes from the April 13, 2026 regular meeting and adopted its regular meeting dates for the 2026–27 year.
The meeting closed with routine announcements and a second public‑comment period; teacher Lisa Briceno thanked the board for staff appreciation items distributed this week.
