Saratoga County committee approves small grant amendment, reimbursements and sets 2026 grant deadline

The Saratoga County Economic Development Committee on May 5 approved an amendment to a small municipal grant and authorized two reimbursement requests as staff outlined the county's grant portfolio.

Staff member reported that the committee is “currently administering $102,025 grants” and presented a request from the Town of Day to reallocate its $2,025 award to pay for entrance door repairs after staff said the need was identified during project review. The committee moved and approved the amendment by voice vote; the Chair directed staff to contact the town to confirm details.

The committee also reviewed reimbursement requests. Staff said the Town of Hadley submitted a full reimbursement request for $10,000 and the Town of Greenfield submitted a partial reimbursement request for $2,763.92; staff confirmed backup documentation for both and the committee approved both reimbursements by voice vote.

Staff told the committee that materials for the 2026 grant cycle have been distributed and that two municipal applications have been returned so far. The committee was given a deadline of June 18 to submit 2026 applications; staff said the current process covers 25 outstanding grants as well as the new 2026 awards.
