Tredyffrin/Easttown board approves consent agenda, names Rick Madison athletic director

The Tredyffrin/Easttown School Board approved its consent agenda by voice vote, 8–0, at the March 23 regular meeting at Conestoga High School. President Teti called for the motion and, after a second, announced the tally: "The motion has passed eight to zero." The consent agenda action covered routine approvals printed on page seven of the meeting agenda.

Director Rick Madison was announced as the district's incoming athletic director following the consent vote. The presiding officer said the board "is very happy to have him assume that new role, which he will do at the end of this school year," offering the board's congratulations.

One board member noted a conflict on a single consent item (item C4, 2026 summer reading program camp staff) because a relative was listed as summer staff; the member abstained from that specific item but otherwise participated in the consent vote. No public comments were offered on the consent items when the board opened the floor.

The board used standard consent-agenda procedure: items grouped for single approval unless a director asked that an item be removed for separate discussion. President Teti explained the process at the start of the motion. The meeting then moved on to committee and ambassador reports.

What happens next: Mr. Madison is slated to assume the athletic director role after the school year ends; the board did not announce an exact start date beyond that timetable.
