Students showcase morning meeting and cross-grade math puzzle day at Haverford Township board meeting

"Make it a great day, Coopertown," the students read in their morning message dated March 19, 2026, and they modeled a "seeds of kindness" sharing activity.
At Chestnutwold, assistant principal Libby Foster described a collaboration with the high school math department in which juniors and seniors designed puzzles and worked alongside younger students. High school students Isabel McDermott and Quinn Fitzpatrick described designing and leading puzzle activities and said the event reinforced problem-solving and a growth mindset for both age groups. Beatrice Cox, the high school student representative, also highlighted recent student achievements and upcoming events.
Board members thanked the presenters and encouraged expansion of the program to other elementary schools, noting alignment with the district's goals on belonging, civic engagement, and preparing "future-ready learners."
