Pulaski County Fiscal Court approves routine purchases, surplus vehicles and fund transfer

Pulaski County Fiscal Court approved a slate of routine administrative actions Wednesday, including procurement advertising, seasonal hires, equipment purchases and financial reconciliations.
The court approved the March 10 meeting minutes and authorized county staff to advertise for the annual slate of county bids covering supplies and services including tile, fuel, rock, asphalt and professional services. The court also approved hiring three seasonal employees for PC Park (Russ Loveless, Rocky Haste and Jackson Webb).
Unscheduled business included approval to purchase a new mower (estimated $15,000–$16,000) and a 24‑ft trailer (estimated $6,000–$7,000) to transport mowers; the package was reported to be under $30,000 so formal bidding was not required. The court also approved purchase of 4,000 gallons of tack oil, a new spray rig (estimated $6,450), and accepted the published road list for maintenance.
Public safety asked to surplus a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2002 F‑250 pickup used by two volunteer fire departments so departments can reinvest sale proceeds; both surplus motions were approved. Stacy, public safety, also requested court permission to spend over the normal $5,000 administrative threshold to buy a radio repeater system for the county's east end; that motion passed.
Treasurer Miss Criss presented February bank reconciliations and a treasurer settlement report, both approved by the court. The court also approved a fund transfer from a grant fund to the general fund after an ACH deposit had been routed to the wrong account due to incorrect bank information.
Judge announced the Shuffle Bridge project is nearly complete, with blacktopping of final approaches and a ribbon‑cutting scheduled for 10:00 the next morning with state officials; the project was described as nearly a $1 million bridge completed largely with state grants. The court adjourned following a motion to adjourn.
