River's Edge golf director reports rising revenue and packed tournament calendar

JJ Dillion, director of golf at River's Edge, reported Nov. 17 that the facility is seeing higher memberships, rounds and revenue in the current fiscal year compared with last year.
Dillion outlined a full month of upcoming tournaments, including a turkey tournament this weekend, a reopening event for Vista next weekend, the Jason Smith tournament on Dec. 6 (152 players, sold out), the Battle of the Valley on Dec. 13 and a holiday tournament on Dec. 20. He said proceeds benefit the high school golf team and other local sports programs.
Dillion told the commission the kitchen renovation at the 19th Hole should be completed by mid-December and that the course remains a regional value proposition with competitive green fees. "We're in month five of the fiscal year; memberships, rounds, and revenue are up," Dillion said.
