The ad‑hoc committee reviewed 17 applications (four city requests and 13 nonprofit proposals) and recommended funding eight nonprofit public‑service applications. Staff said the recommendation fully funds the required fair housing contract and supports city administration costs, plus a prioritized list of public facilities and housing repairs. City staff and the council emphasized that the allocation is an estimate and that the council will revisit the plan when HUD issues final numbers later in the spring.
Council member Peterson moved approval of the CDBG recommendations; the motion passed with a unanimous roll call vote.
What happens next: Staff will receive the final HUD allocation (typically published in May or June) and will return with any adjustments required by the actual grant amount.
