Carol Roy was elected chair of the Hollis School Board for the 2026–27 term after members nominated her and spoke in support of her experience and steadiness. "Thank you very much. I appreciate it everybody," Roy said after the voice vote installing her as chair.
The board also filled other officer roles. Raphael Zach ("Rafy") was nominated and elected vice chair following praise for his preparation and communication; a board member said, "Rafy is incredibly conscientious and brings a lot of insight into all of the things that we look at as a board." Ann was elected secretary after colleagues noted her thorough notes and temperate approach.
The chair announced appointment of manifest signers for the district's warrant (the list of payments) and asked trustees to confirm committee preferences in the coming weeks so formal committee assignments can be made at the May meeting. The board also voted to go into non-public session under RSA 91-A for personnel matters earlier in the meeting.
The board closed organizational business by agreeing to carry out committee reassignments and agenda items at the next regularly scheduled meeting. The next step for members is to report committee preferences to staff ahead of the May assignments.
