Board discussion focused on the administrative work required to join the action and the potential uses of settlement funds. The motion passed with one dissenting vote.
Administrators did not provide a detailed cost estimate for participation and said any further commitments would require follow-up work by staff. The board did not set a timetable for next steps other than approving the resolution to join the litigation.
