Board approves custodial transfer, long‑term substitute and administrative-leave; terminates paraprofessional

Mr. Bessner asked the board to approve transferring Carl Roland from his ninth custodial position to the open lead custodial position at Carroll Junior‑Senior High School effective March 30, 2026; the motion to approve was made, seconded and passed by voice vote.
Mrs. Ray recommended Deb Goyer as a long-term substitute for kindergarten teacher Courtney Williams with an anticipated start date of April 6, 2026. The motion to appoint Goyer was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
Mrs. Ray also placed paraprofessional Shannon Vocal on paid administrative leave from March 9–11, 2026 to investigate job performance concerns; the board approved that leave. Later in the meeting Mrs. Ray recommended termination of Shannon Vocal effective March 12, 2026 based on job performance. The board moved and seconded a motion to terminate Vocal and approved it by voice vote.
