Chamber honors three local businesses at State of the City awards

Mary Lou Waldron, who said she is known as "Lulu" and owns RetroPie, accepted an award and described the store as a neighborhood meeting spot since opening in August. "Receiving this award is a true honor," Waldron said, and said she plans to continue investing in the community and expand her operations.
A representative accepted an award on behalf of Cross Country Mortgage and thanked the chamber for the recognition.
Big O Tires received an award for a recently remodeled location; a contractor who rebuilt the store spoke about the project and said they have been a Manteca resident since 1975.
Chamber president Danny B (the chamber president who introduced the awards) and Mayor Singh both thanked sponsors and emphasized partnerships between the chamber, city and local businesses. No council actions were taken; the segment was part of the evening’s recognition and networking program.
