The Santa Fe Quality of Life Committee approved item d on the consent agenda — the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) draft 2026 annual action plan — after Chair Castro read the item into the record and confirmed the item had been pulled for brief discussion.
“This funding is to increase the availability of supportive services,” Chair Castro said as she described the purpose of the CDBG request and encouraged qualified providers to apply. Committee members moved and seconded approval and a roll-call vote recorded unanimous support from the attending councilors.
Marcela, the committee clerk, conducted the roll call. Councilors present voted yes on the motion to approve the draft plan as amended. No amendments to the substance of the plan were described on the record during the meeting; committee members were encouraged to reach out to Chair Castro or Fabiola Chavez in the affordable housing office with substantive questions.
The committee did not take further action on the CDBG item at this meeting; the funding plan will follow the standard public‑hearing and comment procedures required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and local ordinance before final implementation.
